9-5 service

Since 1990 Gateway has provided supported accommodation for people with severe and enduring mental health needs and learning disabilities.

 

The support and care services we provide include

 

 

  • A support worker between 9 am and 5 pm Mondays to Fridays and 9am-3 pm on weekends.

  • A 24 hour on-call system for security and emergencies.

  • Support with developing and maintaining daily living skills.

  • Meals provided daily and/or assistance with meal preparation.

  • Assistance arranging, storing and prompting medication if necessary.

  • Encouragement and advice regarding personal hygiene.

  • Support, encouragement and advice with maintaining the cleanliness of personal space including laundry.

  • Support and advice with personal budget and finance management.

  • Support to engage with professionals including arranging and attending appointments.

  • Support and advice to understand and maintain tenancy.

  • Support and advice with benefits.

  • Support and encouragement to maintain relationships with family and friends.

  • Support and encouragement to maintain and develop hobbies and interests.
